With panoramic views of North Stradbroke Island, Santa Teresa provides a haven for individuals and groups seeking to come aside from the busyness of life and spend time in prayer and reflection.

Voiceover: Situated on land formerly owned by the Carmelite sisters living nearby Santa Teresa (the Italian form of St Therese’s name) is also linked to aboriginal missions outside Alice Springs and on nearby North Stradbroke Island.
Voiceover: With two new chapels designed for prayer, liturgy and formation, 3 versatile formation spaces with capacities for groups from 10 to 50 people -30 modern ensuited rooms (16 with double beds), specialist onsite catering facilities and 3 eating areas, beautifully landscaped grounds overlooking Moreton Bay Santa Teresa is ideally designed to make your stay whether on a day or overnight basis a serene and reflective experience.
Retreatant: My few days at Santa Teresa have been a very precious gift; not only in slowing me down, but creating a space for me to renew my relationship with Christ through prayer, reading, liturgy, walking, writing and sitting in quietness. The beauty of the setting together with the excellent facilities and catering helped me to enjoy a holy time that has blessed and refreshed me in body, mind and heart. The words of Santa Teresa echo in my heart “love can do all”. I urge you, make the time to allow God’s loving presence to sweep over you. Santa Teresa is a beautiful place that helps this to happen.
